DRAMA QUEEN ALERT

I'm upset - just in need of a smile I guess!

All self pity post and I've just cried my eyes out!

Not expecting any of you to understand, but my electric chair is knackered! :( :( :( My independence out the window

To make matters worse, the insurance company wont pay up cos it's not 'accidental', so am now stuck in a manual chair and am so tiny! Have the keyboard on a much lower table as I can't reach the normal one :( :(

Mike taking it to a mobility shop tomorrow to see if they can do anything :(

What is the use of insurance? See I didn't have it years back, then was told they could've fixed my other chair, then when I DO have insurance for this one, they wont cough up!

Aww Kelly, i'm sorry. :(

Don't know what to say, it's pants!

Hopefully the mobility shop will be able to do something.

Thinking of you :)

Oh no thats terrible! Insurance companies are only out for themselves. >:(
Hope the shop can fix it.

Aww Kelly :( That's stupid the insurance can't do anything..hope the mobility shop can do something to it. :-*

What happened to it if it's not classed as "accidental"? Just confused...unless you got a hammer and hit it or something similar, how could it have not been accidental?

Hope you get something sorted soon. :smitten:

Oh Kelly - I wish I could help. You 'winge' as much as you like doll, this isn't trivia its serious. Thank god for you fab hubby looking after you. Hopefull you'll get it fixed tomorrow. A big virtual hug (((((((( :-*))))))))

Hope so too - I know the chair is poo and uncomfy but I can get around on me tod... I'm just in dumps :(

It's wear and tear I guess - they don'tmake them strong enough. It's all about money

awwww Kelly I'm sorry :'( You have every right to be upset - i'm sure these insurance companies are just there to take our money and then shaft us! they're crap! :'(

I really hope you can get it sorted or Mike can get your old one fixed :(

/BIG BIG Hugs x

sometimes its easier to whack things with a hammer and say it was an accident ( yeah i know its false claiming etc) but good grief we pay so damn much for insurance and most of the time never claim,I wish I could help hun :(

aww kelly :( poor you. i bet your looking forward to that new chair your planning to get. O0 use it has an excuse to get it earlier than planned. (if you can get the money) things can only get better, so cheer up O0

:tickedoff: on your behalf.

I really hope you get it sorted out soon Kelly, big ((hugs)) to you.

oh Kelly I'm so sorry for you darling. I really hope you can get it fixed. Keeping my fingers crossed for you :smitten:

That'll be fun. XD

I hope it can be fixed. I suppose it's the equivalent of having someone whack an able-bodied person in the legs so that they can't walk, or can only limp.

You can whack me in the legs if it makes you feel better? :D I don't use them much.

Gee Kelly what a bummer i can't understand why they can't just help you, it's not fair :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

Sending lots of cuddles and piggie kisses from Duke for support :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

damn insurances they take your money and dont cough up, did you know they actually employ people to get them out of a claim, how can that be legal, I think you should fight it girl. what the point of having it other wise, hope you get it fixed, ;)

Does the benefit system not allow for any chair - just thinking of mobility allowance or something. It makes you so mad doesn't it that people on other benefits get so much and you really need an electric chair and there's no help about?

yeah, there's a mobility allowance which the car is on, so can't have a chair on it. Once you're 18 all help with monies/other benefits go out the window!

However... the wheelchair shop people have managed to get them to cough up! :D

Without independence though for a week :(

Kelly that's fantastic. I know you won't have the chair for a week but you will get it back. I'm so pleased. :smitten:

Boss at the repair place said he will start working on it straightaway and claim the money after, he is more concerned about customer which I like :)
