The box on the right is guinea dad hay. It comes in a box instead of a bag and you open the front compartments. Here is a another image showing the front.

Just fed the boys their 1 tablespoon of pellets. I broke up some of their boxed hay and they went nuts! Cleaned their cage. Day 3 and I think I’ll wash the towels and fleece tonight. Pictures attached of the boys eating!
Merry xmas everyone! The boys are having a wonderful morning! Some pictures below! They are eating some orchard hay. The timothy hay is at the far end in the box. Veggies fed this AM. One pea flake given! Also, you can barely see the new exercise floor mats installed over top my hardwoods!
Boys say thank you! Quick cute pic of them drinking! I had to turn the bottles sideways. I follow a California rescue on Youtube and bottles with dripping issues are minimized by tuning the bottles sideways.
I was skeptical but both bottles aren’t leaking (fingers crossed).
The boys snoozing! I bought a few different hay to try with the guys. At first I only offered Timothy hay. However, the girlfriend bought orchard hay and the guys love it (my allergies are really bad with Timothy).
I purchased oat hat, western timothy and organic meadow hay. We’ll see what they like. Oat has been a big hit as I gave them a handful last night.
Question would you all mix the hay in my bin (pic attached so they get a variety?) I want to wait to see if they actually like the hay before I mix them.
Love seeing photos of snoozing piggies.
I tend to just use orchard hay in my hay trays and then put a pile of Timothy or other specialist hay in as a feeding pile a couple of times a day. But I know that others mix the hays so there’s a mixture for the piggies to rummage in.
@VickiA here are two more snoozing pics from tonight! Yes Cappy is in the hay photo! Buried albeit! Right before I ripped them out for floor time and clean their fleece/towels. They will get treats upon reentry to their cage
I literally freaked out when I didn’t see cappy. Mokey was all relaxed. I can see they really like snuggling in the oat hay (where cap is).
