Thanks everyone your support and coments keep Dave and 5 piggies going. I'm at shops now and i can tell you Saturday afternoon I'm usually footy or watchin racing but piggies need leaves and food.
I know beetroot is not ideal but Cocoa absolute loves it and she roots all of it out 1st. what harm can't it do. I can't deny her what she loves.

What a lovely photo. I would let her eat whatever she enjoys and beetroot will help keep her weight up. xx
 
Long eve 6 hours takin Cocoa to the vets because of traffic and a accident but worth it.
Guess who stole the show yrsterday.
Ok 1st the bad news cocoa has lost 40% of her body weight mainly because losing use of her legs she's lost muscle use etc. the cancer has grown on her top lip but again no signs of pain and she's fighting and getting on this photo taken just now 7.15am .20181031_071902.webp
good news Christina took Cocoa to show her work mates and fellow vets one asked if Cocoa was able to move and on que she wobbled away.
With Christina permissions I'm allowed to show this photo and the love and joy that piggie give makes me proud of that animal. 20181030_173354.webp
 
I went through nursing a sick piggy long term twice, once with Liquorice who had an eye problem who then had bolted off the bed and lost use of her back legs ( bolting was something she hadn't done since a baby) - not recommended but for her it worked, i used to support her weight and let her paddle in the sink, which kept her from loosing too much muscle and she did regain some use towards the end of her life, but in the end her habitual pica issue caused her to develop stomach problems, and she had to be pts. Then there was BonBon who consistently dribbled but her teeth were fine, it seemed to improve a lot with gripe water (syringed into her mouth), and kept her weight up.

I've protected her photos of her cancer mouth for ages.I can't now.
Her lips are 500% bigger bleeds full of scabs and she's struggling BUT Cocoa fights and now I will show her BEAUTY to the full.
Pls don't be offended by honesty. she sits on my lap and purrrrrrrs.
Pls when do I let go. xx

It's hard to make that call Dave. We all know you love her. You know your piggie the best. She will let you know when she is ready to toddle off to the Rainbow Bridge. The life and light will go from her eyes and you will know. You have given her and her sisters and life full of love and happiness since they came to live with you. Don't feel bad about helping her cross the Rainbow Bridge when the time comes.

Thanks I won't feel bad but it will damage me heart.
She's such a love and I'm very very proud of her spirit xx

All I can say is you are a great piggie owner .... and you have a great vet .

Between Cocoa, you and your vet , you will know when it is time :hug:

This would be a heartbreaking time for any of us if we were in your position .
