Does anyone know how to clean off the white marks left on the plastic bottom of hutches from urine? I've tried hutch sprays but when the hutch dries the marks come straight back. Can anyone advise?
@Hobie white vinegar mixed with water and lemon juice in a spray botter, let it sit a little while, then scrub it with a slightly abrasive sponge - it worked well on mine. Although I scrubbed too hard and scratched my cage! Good luck. x
Bicarbonate of soda is also good for shifting deposits especially if you can soak it. Works a treat on plastic cage bases and hay trays. And white vinegar is amazing too
Yes I have used white vinegar on a wooden hutch before and it worked a treat. Afterwards to get rid of the smell I always spray with a piggy friendly spray and wipe clean again. I have always found if you line a wooden hutch with lino on the bottom, it is much easier to keep it clean and stain free.
