Chonky pigs

Sir George and Gaia? Could he be a calming influence on either lady?

Sadly not... The only thing which calms Gaia is a barrel full of her favourite foods and a good nap immediately after. That keeps her happy for about 30 minutes.

And Minerva is so deep inside her own little world - the one that only she can see and hear - that no-one is able to influence her, my little impish dreamer. Though occasionally she does heed the devil on her shoulder (Gaia).

I think you need to buy him a bed for a small dog. Have you ever wondered if he's part cuy?
Now you really had my spinning about his manners. He's like very much piggy xtra vaganza with his instincts. If he gets stressed its like an volcano and if he really wants something hes like a tornado. He's veryvery sensitive, and nothing like the other pigs Ive known.

I don't know much about cuy but I've heard that they're rather highly strung. They started appearing in the USA a few years ago but people quickly decided their nature made them unsuitable as pets so the breeding stopped. I don't know if any made it to Sweden?

Had to google cuys in Sweden and its not very common, but there is some breeders. Kongo fits some of the description very well (eyes, high neck, long body, ears etc.). We adopted him from an organization in summer 2023, and doesn't really know much about his past. If he has cuy in him, he's the most loving and sweet part-cuy ever. If not, he's just the biggest Guinea pig in Sweden I guess 😅

Saskia at LAGPR did a you tube video about Cuy/part Cuy. I seem to remember they are ginger or ginger and white.
He is certainly a very handsome lad.
Then he's just a very big and sensitive pig. Maybe he's great grandpa was an elephant or something? That would actually explain alot!

So, when you have a chunkster on ~1750g you think everything is so small and petite. Like this little Chips;IMG-20241122-WA0009.webp
- oh my god, I think he lost very much weight! I told my SO.

He gained 70g.

My big alfa is still the smallest. But he gained a bit too. Compared to Kongo he really feels and looks like a cottonball.

And yes, Kongo uses that rifle to make his slaves run for the fridge.
