Oh your poor boy. I am sorry for the diagnosis :(

I'm afraid I have no experience with Cushings disease but hopefully someone will be able to advise further @Wiebke @helen105281

Plain porridge oats are also good for weight gain. I sprinkle them dry on my piggies dry food as they prefer them like that.

Alfalfa hay is also good for weight gain and poorly piggies but it should only be fed in moderation as it is high in calcium so bladder piggies shouldn't have it.

I've just read through that all... it seems like she's had to spend a lot to find out almost nothing :/ Zuki is over 4 years old, we really don't have the money to do tests that will most likely show us nothing :/ I do wish I'd remembered the cutting the nail short instead of them trying to draw blood from him, which they failed with.

He's home now, a lot happier and still feels plump. Grand cost of his over night stay? £19! :o

He seems happy, our house is warm enough that losing his fur shouldn't cause too much problem... we are expecting both the pigs to go in the next 2 years. Kenya has a mammory tumour the vets won't operate on, my specialist just said let him keep going until he can't.

Well his weight is maintaining at 840-860g. He has however developed some red scabs on his 'naked' legs so off to the vets we go again this week :/

Just wanted to update you.

Zuki is doing well. Vet's thought he'd caught his leg on something and decided not to treat. His weight is maintaining without medication and he's lost no more hair. His legs even seem a tad hairier then at the beginning of the illness. :)
