Cannot get rid of soft poops

Maybe it's something that happens in older piggies if they face an issue? In my case the antibiotics? Idk though. So far it is a mystery for us too, the vet has felt her gut and everything and says everything feels normal with not abnormalities anywhere... hopefully I can get her back on track once more :(
Maybe yea. I was told by my vet that it needs more guinea pig owners to send poop samples off and things will move forward in finding stuff wrong. Its not something that gets sent off much, not like urine. Its very pricey though

Our guinea has had this since an operation too dannif..so maybe there is something there.

If it doesn't clear up again I may just have to she doesn't seem bothered by it at all and her weight is no longer being affected by it which is good, she hates it more when I try to wipe the poop off her feet, sometimes I think she'd rather me leave it on 🤢🤣

I did! I do all of the exciting stuff like collecting poops and sending them in the post !

@dannif_piggies Here's the link: PALS vetlab

You can send it directly if your vet wants to charge a crazy amount to process it for you. Good luck!
Thank you! I'll definitely bare this in mind, I think I'll give it another week or so, take her to the vets again and see what they suggest and then go from there. Thank you

About 5 months now approx. Before that she got diarrehea from carrots but nothing else.
Honey has had hers since 15th September, with fluctuation in the poops... before to get the poops good I cut stuff out but there's literally nothing else I can cut out. Really don't know what to do... is your piggy standing in them and you're having to wipe its feet each day or are they just slightly soft?

Just gave Honey 4ml of critical care, try and get some good stuff into her, god knows if that'll help or not, I don't know what else to try tbh

Sometimes critical care used to go right through my old boar, he would poop out critical care, my vet see it happen. I thought it was diarhea

We'll see I guess, I did make it thicker so it wasn't so water based, hopefully it won't do more harm than good

Yes she does stand in them..to be honest we have a quick routine of warm water in the bathroom sink and holding her and dipping her rear end in the water and cleaning her with my hand. Takes less than a minute then wrap her in a towel. Twice a day.. and she loves it now! It really is not something to get too worried about. I think maybe it's way more distressing for you than your guinea!

Yeah I have some super sensitive wipes that are "as pure as water" and I take the poop off that way.. and it definitely is more stressful for us than them... like most things really 😂
