I think it's wrong to lock the toilets in between lessons.

When I was at high school, which was only 5 years ago, a trip to the toilets was 5-10 minutes that you didn't have to work, whether you needed the toilet or not. And the teachers know that. When you get to high school age, you should be responsible and mature enough to know not to drink a lot before a 50 minute lesson. After all, I think 3 or 4 chances to go to the toilet throughout a 6 hour day is more than enough. Demanding to go in lessons on a regular basis should not be allowed. Yes, there will be exceptions of course, which should be allowed.

Using "womens problems" as an excuse IMO is just silly and embarrasing for you and your teacher. A tampon can be worn for up to 8 hours and don't let anyone frighten you about the risks of TSS...yes it can be fatal but it's extremly rare, and as long as you remove it before 8 hours (I have on many occasions forgot and left it in for much longer) then you will be fine. Move up to a higher absorbancy for the first few days when your a heavier. So, in fact there is no need to change it whilst you are at school even.....

hiya everyone
i have an appointment with the dcotor tomorrow, i been needing to toliet quite alot lately, which explains my problem with the schools toliet system, instead of normal me, who goes once at lunch, i need to go in the break, lunch and straight after school. so, when the doctor says what's wrong, they'll probably write a note for school, who will give me a toliet pass. then i will go whenever i need it.

wish me luck x :'(

Well you are definatly doing the right thing, going to see your GP. Teachers can't say anthing towards a note from your GP.

I remember when I had a bladder infection once, oh it was hell. It feels as if you want to wee every five minutes, but when you go, there is nothing actually coming, only a slight trickle that burns like mad. No fun.

Oh i know that feeling!

I still stand by what i say, prisoners can go as and when they please, why not a secondary school student? Some pupils may not be able to/not want to use a tampon, so will probably be relying on pads. Also i believe water should be allowed through out the day, not just at break times. Why punish the good students for what the bad ones may do. This is my opinion. :)
P.S good luck at the doctors.

Yuck, I can remember having bladder infections when young; there where horrible. :'(

Good luck at the Doctors btw :)

Yes, good luck

Also, let's not forget the bowels. A lot of kids have irritable bowel syndrome. They can't help it. What are they supposed to do?

:) just got back from the doctors, no idea what is wrong, having water test sent to the lab, the dcotor looked slightly concerned. i've been gettin stomache pains, feelin ill and have been overtired recently, so i dont no wat is wrong, and is it linked up? :-\
i will tell u guyz on friday when i hopefully am getting the results back. :(
atleast theres only 1 dai left of skwl to suffer with needin the loo in class, thats relief ;D

BEEN THERE! Our school had a lock door policy on toilet you couldnt go unless you had a note from your parents saying you had an infection or a 'lady issue!' which was so embarrasing but if we whined enough sometimes they caved so try whining lol i left school in may 05 and i would never go back wait till college your love it! we just ask for the loo and theres no questions asked off we toddle! and as for making you late for buses tell your parents you cant walk home in the dark! again we just ask to leave a tad early and the staff at college say its ok you say your in year 9 so the teachers should respect your practically an adult and you should be allowed to use the toilet when you need to, my sisters in year 11 and they let her go when she wants unless its straight after a break! you need to tell someone, do you have a school council or something similar? hope somethings done soon x
