I have seen it mentioned that piggie's can eat the skin on melon's and banana's - is this true? I just wanted to check that it was okay for them. What other fruit skin's can they eat?

my pigs love 'nanna skin but only organic as non organic has 6 or 7 different sprays/insect repelents! never tried melon however

Mine LOVE honeydew melon, skins and all..... have tried Banana but never found a pig to really like it!... :)

Mine eat all types of melon and their skin. All eat banana skin too and much prefer the skin to the actual fruit :)

a couple of ours like banana skin but it reeks after a bit xx0

Does the banana have to be ripe? I have rats and they cant eat banana's that are still green, is this the same for piggies?

My pigs love honeydew melon and banana skins and they also wuite like banana.
I have also given them a few strawberries once, which they quite like!

I give my piggies Melon i get the biggest honeydew melon i can find, cut it in half and scoop out large proportin of the flesh and put it in, not only does it stimulate them but its fun to watch as well, I have 5 girls living in a run they are pets and i could just watch for hours they get in the skin and rock around in it and run around it. ::)
try it it will keep you entertained as well
