Can I give Burgess excel for Rabbits for a few days?

I’ve stupidly picked up the wrong food and can’t get any until Wednesday. Is it ok for my 2 to have the rabbit nuggets until then? I can’t see much difference apart from less Vit C. My little boy has already opened the packet so I’ll donate to the RSPCA. Just don’t want to do any damage by giving them if you think I should avoid?!

I wouldn’t..... if you are giving them plenty of fresh veggies (and hay, of course), they’ll be fine without pellets for a few days .

I agree. I wouldn’t feed them either. Pellets aren’t essential to their diet, hay is, so no pellets for a few days is absolutely fine

I agree too, as long as they have plenty hay and veg they will be fine without pellets, we often skip a couple of pellet feeds a week when our piggies have extra hay and veg and they dont really care, they much prefer big piles of hay and scatterfed veggies to a boring old food dish with pellets!

Thanks everyone, I’ll leave it. They do love the pellets - but we’ve got stacks of hay so I’ll hold off until Wednesday x
