Thank you for the advise about the vaseline, I shall try that when her wound has healed up.

However, I got up this morning to find little Barneys underneath fur was all covered in wee. She looked so sad, my heart went out to her. I tried to clean her up with just water as best I could (not allowed anything else as the wound isn't bandaged). We then went to the vets at 8.30am for her check-up and the vet said it really was nothing to worry about (bum dragging on floor and wee on fur), and that I should give her at least 4 weeks to adjust etc. That made me feel a bit better. But on a positive note my little fighter is still with us. Its Day 3 today, and apparently its touch and go with guineas for the first 72 hours after anaesthetic. I am half breathing a sigh of relief (only half, just incase!). We have another check-up on tuesday so shall see how we go...

so glad the vet visit went well O0 so glad little barney is a fighter, hang in there and see how she goes :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: animals adapt much better than people and some animals are really amazing O0 hugs and healing vibes :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: perhapos a vet bed might help with her wetting herself as i have heard(there not available here in oz) the vet beds draw the moisture away and also keeps piggies warm O0 good luck and come on barney :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Oh that is good news. Glad she is improving and hopefully she will adjust soon anything. Rooting for the little one! x

I'm glad the vet said things were going well - keeping my fingers crossed that things continue that way xx
