Camera Flashes

My friend recently critisized me for harming my guinea pigs eyes. She said flashes are very bad for them, and I wasn't sure if I should believe her. I had never heard of this before! Is it true? Can they go blind from them? Or is it just a myth? ?

hhhmmm i don't think you could blind them, but i know it's not nice to have a camera flashed in my eyes. :-\

I use flash when I take photos of all my pets and they don't mind, it has never harmed them as far as I know.

Your guinea will not go blind, however, use it as little as possible and keep a comfortable distance when taking a picture. It will not do they any harm e.g. damage their eyes, however, it may be quite distressing/ shocking/ scary etc for some guineas. O0

'blind your piggy' ?

Dont be daft, obviously shoving a camera in somethings face with or without a flash isnt going to be nice...but blinding them? Nahhhh ;D
