Just ordered four 2x4 cage liners and 2 cuddle cups all for £94 (including postage).. Bargain. Got them from ziggys piggies! Has anyone else used them before?

I've put in an order today as well! Never used them before, but I've heard lots of good things about them. =) I ordered eight liners (various sizes) and a set of medium toys (snuggle sack, cuddle cup and tunnel). I am very excited for it all to arrive. ^_^

@Sian25 I'm just waiting to hear back to confirm that I can have my fleece options, but I've requested a set of liners in plain purple, a set in plain blue and the blue/purple/green chequered design for the toys and smaller liners. ^_^ What about you?

Sounds lovely! I just ordered 4 of the leopard print liners and leopard print cuddle cups as they already have leopard print fleece for their cages at the moment and they fleecey accessories are beige so I thought it would be the best match. I love how everyone spoils their piggies on this forum :D

I'm hoping to buy from Ziggy's but will have to make sure pennies allow first! Seen so much praise for the liners on here. I'm also curious what people get as I'm relatively new to fleecy stuff :)

Ah, sounds delightful! I opted to go for plain coloured liners as I imagine it'll be easier to buy matching toys/accessories (as I'm sure I will) should I end up buying them from a different seller, but opted to go for a pattern on the toys that matched. I love colour co-ordinated cages, so pretty!

Will you all post pics of your lovely colour coordinated set ups when you're ready? I spend hours looking online at pics, I'm always really impressed with people's set ups. I'm making the changeover from wood shavings to fleece and liners soon so looking for ideas :)

I am also new to fleece. I've kept guineas for seventeen years, but this is my first purchase! Think of all the money I could have saved on sawdust over the years! x_x So I hope that it works out as a bedding for me/my piggies.

I had thought of making my own (my mother is a seamstress), but Ziggy's was so cheap and I thought it was probably better to buy a set first, so I can see what they're meant to be like, before I make anything myself.

Yes my piggies when I was a kid used to be on saw dust and hay, but fleece is indeed more cost effective. Plus prettier, not as messy and probably WAY more comfortable for little paws and piggy butts!

I've made a cuddle cup and 2 snuggle sacks for the girls that went fine, but after my calculations on how much it might cost to make cage liners (also it'll be my first time so I doubt it will be flawless, plus I'm not sure on materials) so I'm hoping if my money can stretch, it may be just as easy and a similar price to just get some from Ziggy's!

I hope you don't mind me asking, how much did your liners cost and what size were they? I'm needing a 2x4 and hopefully at least 3 of them.

@Wendle this is my boys cage now, I've ordered similar leopard print fleece in liners so shouldn't look too much different once the new ones arrive. They have a divider along the middle because unfortunately they don't get along when living togetherimage.webp

Oh wow! That's a gorgeous set up. It's like a piggy hotel. How often do you Hoover/poo sweep? X

@Cavy Kung-Fu I'm not quite sure why we never used fleece before! My mum knows her stuff about guineas (all my rainbow bridge piggies were when I lived with my parents), but never really mentioned it? And I initially didn't consider it when I bought Poglet and Syllabub as sawdust was just the 'standard', if that makes sense? I didn't really think to look at anything else!

Yes, I asked mum if she'd make me some snuggle sacks or cubes or some such, but I wasn't entirely sure if they need an absorbent layer like the liners? I've watched tutorials on how to make them (two bits of fleece sandwiching an old towel), but I'm still not sure I'd do it correctly first time. Plus, when I was looking into fleece costs, Ziggy's really didn't seem that much more expensive! Especially as I'd probably need to buy extra in case I screwed up.

I was quoted at two 2x2 for £17 and two 2x6 for £35, or £75 for all four, including delivery. I ended up buying more than that as we've extended our upstairs, but that was my original quote. ^_^

@Sian25 oh wow! I love it! It looks great! I am considering adding a 'forest' to my piggies' cage at some point (when my bank balance has recovered, haha).

I Hoover them 4-5 times a day but that's because I work split shifts so I'm home every few hours so like them looking clean and tidy. I don't think you really need to Hoover them as much as that though

Thanks @Sian25 just got my quote myself, think I might just go ahead and order although it's a lot of money to me for all the stuff I need haha.

@Malice I made snuggle sacks just fleece and made cuddle cups with wadding but through my experience, it's probably better for wadding in the sacks and some kind of boning for the opening, and using some upholstery foam for the cups as it add more support or my girls just trample over all of them and flatten them haha. I need to try out some more but haven't had the time or motivation over Christmas.

Think I'm gunna check the bank balance and go for it, total is gunna be about £104 though, eek!

@Cavy Kung-Fu my total order came to £110, but it was including delivery, so I thought it wasn't too bad. That was for a pair of 1x1, 1x2, 2x2 ('L' shaped) and 2x6 liners, as well as a snuggle sack, cuddle cup and tunnel.

@Cavy Kung-Fu they're worth the money though aren't they  And what is it you need to order?

3x cage liners 2x4 and I have a octagon shaped indoor run thing for them that needs one too.

@Malice a similar amount to me then! I think I'll stick to trying to make all the little beds and stuff myself as it's not as big a task for me. Don't think a I could handle liners though, too complicated!

Oh and I'm not just really tight with my money I just don't have any right now due to unforeseen, sucky circumstances XD

I know @Cavy Kung-Fu

My partner said I could order the cage liners if I quit smoking after I have finished the packs of cigarettes that someone brought me back from spain. She meant for me to order the liners after I quit smoking but I insisted that I need the liners right now so she agreed to let me order based on the promise I'll quit smoking next week haha fingers crossed.

Omg haha I don't know if I could quit smoking just like that XD Good luck! Yes liners can't really be held off all that time that's why I wanna get mine soon. Atm I'm struggling along with fleece and towels underneath, it's a bit of a hassle.

I'm using fleece and towels too and thank you, just thinking of all the extras I could buy for the pigs with the money used to fund such a dirty habit smoking haha

Haha that's true, I just need a new job to accommodate both XD It's so nice being able to spoil the piggies though 'cause my cat hates anything made for cats ._. "Brand new fluffy bed that cost £20 or pile of mummy's neatly folded, freshly washed clothes...?"

In case you're wondering, she chooses my clothes XD

:D I bought a load of cage liners from Ziggy a couple of years ago. I got 7 large 2 X 5 size and 12 small ones 14" X 18" to fit in the Trixie huts that the piggies sleep in. I thought the liners were great; they fit the cages very well and were easy to vac. Only problem, as I have said before on other threads, they are difficult to get dry if you can't hang them out on the washing line. This is probably due to the heavy cotton towel core. Earlier this year, I changed to fleece with towels on top. Much easier to wash and dry. I have cut up the large liners and made hut beds using Zorb material inside, and have left one edge open so the Zorb can be removed and washed separately. ( "CandE Cosies" use Zorb inside their cage liners. )

@7squeakers. I didn't think about getting them dry with them being heavy.. I haven't got a tumble dryer at the moment either. Can they be hung over the radiators?
