Bumblefoot. Bone visible? Graphic photos!

Yes I suppose too that it’s because of the osteomalacia the bone have been easily broken. 😭
We will proceed with Bactrim, and increase the Metacam from 0.6 ml to 1 ml (metacam for cats) until the vet visit next week. Anyone think that the broken bones can be fixed with surgery (intramedullary pins)?

Hi

Sadly there is no chance of fixing bones in guinea pigs; especially not something as delicate as toe bones. It is just too fiddly. It usually comes down to an amputation if mobility and a possible bone infection are an issue. :(
 
I hate to sound ignorant but how did it get this bad? Is she a rescue or something?
