When you say breeding cages what are you actually looking for? Ones used on breeding/rodent farms are not big enough for guinea pigs to live a happy life in. Or do you mean that you are looking for blocks of hutches? If so there are many people who make them to your own spec, if you go through your yellow pages, generally anyone who is good at carpentry can make you a block.
Hope that helps and welcome to the forum

thanks yer I'm looking for blocks of hutches but the ones i have seen are way tooo small :(

thanks how long have * been on this forum for and how many pigs have * got :)

Majority of breeders blocks that I have seen are too small, but then I guess some breeders don't care.

you can make your own they're pretty easy i've seen about it but I don't think I'm allowed to post links to other forums on here and I can not PM you because of how many posts you have.

xx

I have a fab breeders block that is 4 levels and has removable dividers so each level is 6' x 2', it's a Punchard but Avondale used to make similar ones. There are often blocks on eBay and preloved too :)

ive rarely seen big sized blocks, the ones my little Boris pig was kept in along with sadly many others in a breeders garden were 2ftx1ft and stacked either 3 or 4 high. a shed full of them. wish i could have taken more than just 1 out of that place :(

i agree with looking for someone to build them for you, that way you can get exactly what you require :)

Hey and welcome to the forum :)

Just wanted to warn you, it's against the rules of this forum to talk about breeding. But you can still stay on the forum of course, just don't talk about breeding guinea pigs cos it's just more about rescue on here :)

I dunno about the cages, but if you're getting a lot then it would be a good idea to try to get them made by someone :)

Yeah I was hoping Someone would say that, When I first joined I made a comment about breeding/babies and got my butt reemed!

As far as I know the OP is talking about simply getting a breeding cage, rather than actually breeding her guinea pigs? Breeding cages (big ones) can be more suitable for housing large numbers of pigs (especially if she has them in bonded pairs rather than a herd), so it would make sense for her to ask about getting a breeding cage...

I can't see anything wrong with asking about the breeding cages, but if the OP is actually looking at breeding pigs, then that's not allowed on here. :)

That's how I read the post too :)

thanks yer i take in alot of unwanted pigs and i love the sows that get on to live togever . i have been told * can take like parts out to make it bigger . so the girls get a hole row and the boys that dont get on would get one cage each , they go in the indoor runs or out side one in the day so would only be at night xx
