So sorry that Blod hasn't had better news.
Holding you in my heart .
Holding you in my heart .
Dear Priscilla and Micah,I’ll pop it in the post for you tomorrow.
Mine love it.
They’ll fight for the syringe if there’s any going but Priscilla and Micah don’t need it really.
Hope Blod enjoys it too.
She's going for her blood test on 25th, first day of the school holidays. She still seems fine in herself, just a soggy bottom like an undercooked cakeAny news on Blodwen yet?
I'll leave that up to Dr Molly, she just saw the notes and Blod's appointment booking and case history and agreed she was able to take bloods and that there was no need to come in any sooner if Blod was maintaining weight and seemed well, waiting until we are both home all day for aftercare was a sensible idea just in case.Hope it all goes well for Blod on 25th Could they nick a wick to get a blood sample or do they need a bigger amount?
Yes, you see Blod also has a little dangly polyp growth on her eyelid which is probably trivial but is growing downwards and might rub her eye and cause an ulcer... and she has that half-grape sized cyst or abscess on her back, its very superficial and loose within the skin but if it grows bigger its right over her lower spine where her back arches and will cause pressure... if Blod wasnt my precious girl and I was the vet I'd check her lungs and pee and if at all safe I'd give her the sleepy gas and pop some local anaesthetic in the lump on her back then go for the triple, eye polyp off, back lump out, proper blood sample... but that needs a bold confident fast working experienced surgeon who has correctly assessed the wheeziness, I wouldnt dare propose that for Blod but if Molly suggests it I imagine she knows it can be done!Molly is brilliant but it is different when it’s our own beloved piggy and not a hypothetical case, or another person’s piggy
There's such a big soppy gulf between what might be best veterinary practice long term but slightly more risky short term, and a floofy little face asking for coriander saying they are ok today
Thank you, its a tough call, she might have 6 happy months with no interventions or diagnostics then a slow painful decline and difficult decisions at the end... or she might die under anaesthesia on 25th... or survive anaesthesia and have full diagnostics and all her lumps and bumps fixed and a proper medication regime and another 2 years in fairly good health- until something else goes wrong! If not for you and Piggy Daddy, Blodwen would never have made it this far. Whatever way this goes, you've given her many extra years.
