Blackies not well

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Blackie doesn't have a lot of energy today and is still hiding. She's down 20g but I know that can be the difference between a full bladder and an empty one. She's still taking the syringe feed. If she's no better by tomorrow I'm gonna ring cat and rabbit clinic and hopefully they can see her.
 
Sorry to hear Blackie is still so flat. It’s so worrying. I so wish they could tell us what’s going on. Has she got some pain relief as well as antibiotics? X

The local vets wouldn't give me metacam in case it made her diarrhea worse but i've got some here and gave her 0.3ml today and will give her another dose tonight x
 
Aw, poor you and Blackie, I would get her to the Cat and Rabbit Clinic too, fancy not letting her have pain relief ☹️

Hot blackie in for 11.40 at cat and rabbit. Just waiting for the bus now. She seems weaker today and sounds very grunty with her breathing.

Thanks, Blackies a girl lol. Sorry, I realise I didn't mention that. Kim said she's very poorly. She's got the breathing problem and the blood seems to be coming from her womb. She mentioned pyometra but we're gonna try zithromax first in case it in an infection. She said a spay at the moment would kill her. She's also on fibreplex and emeprid as she's bloated. She's prescribed metacam too as she's in pain. Gotta see how she goes in the next week. If she goes any more downhill I've got to go back sooner. There's also a chance it could be cancer. If she does perk up Kim said exploratory surgery would be an option x

Just an update on blackie. She passed away around half 5 this morning. She was very weak last night and it was hard to tell if she was actually swallowing the syringe feed. Got up at 4 this morning to give her a feed and she seemed even weaker.Tried to get her to take a little amount but it was obvious she wasn't swallowing. Put her in her blanket on one side of my mums bed while I went to have a cigarette and my mum made a cup of tea and when we came back up she'd passed 😢. I'm devestated.
 
Oh Gemma I am so sorry you’ve lost Blackie, I can imagine how devastated you feel, sending hugs :hug: Hold on to your dear memories of happy times with her, you gave her a wonderful happy life x
