It would be lovely to meet you . but, if it doesn't work out, perhaps we could have another meet a bit closer to you later in the year.

You too! Yes that would be lovely. Fingers crossed I'll be able to make it though. I'm used to travelling to Birmingham on the train so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. :)
 
Of course as it stands I am def going.. I have an interview next week. If I get the job I will be swapping weekends so wont be..but you will know if I do and ob this will be next week so 3 months early! :)

Phew! I don't think I know your name, my names Catie, or cat, which ever you prefer! We would have to book the same return train ticket too! X
 
I am pretty good at getting cheap tickets so will start researching next weekend. May even be able to get us a couple ticket or advance singles. I can travel to brum from Northampton for 5.00 each way sometimes and 10 eachway from London so leave it with me. It's Stephanie BTW ;)

Only just seen this thread as I don't get on the forum much these days. Will see nearer the time what's happening, I'm not over keen on overcrowded Saturday pubs these days. If I'm free I'll pop in to say hello but wont know until nearer the time.

Oasis was a shop with shoes so hot it would surely blow your mind :))

I haven't been in Oasis since back in the day but will ask my brother-in law he will know, he is a goth :) Last thing I bought was a pair of dockers and a tye dye t-shirt :) Be lovely to meet you matey x

If I can go I'll most likely be on the same train. But I'll get on at Nottingham city centre. It will be so strange but lovely to put faces to names and piggie avatars!

I don't think many of the places that I used to like in Birmingham are still there, like the Plastic Factory? And the Bull Ring flea market has gone hasn't it?
But I do love the art gallery, theres some of my favourite Pre-Raphaelite art there, and a large bronze sculpture of the Fallen Angel :)
 
@Goth Mummy That would be great, thank you! Really hoping I can work my hours around this. Really hoping to go. I've never actually been to Birmingham itself before. I only pass through the train station to go to Wolverhampton from Nottingham to see my other half at his uni.


Edit: just checked my dates and I can go! I don't start my placement until 27th. Yay :)

I have put the date on the Family Planner. If it goes on the Family Planner then it is happening and cant be over-written by other family member's requests ;)
 
So it looks like I won't make it to this meet after all. My dad's retirement party is the same day :mal:

Maybe I'll make it to the next one.
