Well folks we've finally managed to book our trip down for the meet so looking forward to meeting everyone. We'll have our woolly pig Wally with us in his designer carrier which was kindly given to us by Sue and Stewybus at the last meet in November in Glasgow.

I need to think about getting these train tickets!

@Goth Mummy Have you pre-booked yours? I'm not sure what train to get from Nottingham.

That's true! :))

My excitement to meet you all is overriding the nerves at the moment. Closer to the time it might be different though.

I have not booked my ticket yet but if you are coming from Nottingham it is much cheaper if you can get a ticket from Nottingham - Long Eaton then Long Eaton - Birmingham. So you just need to make sure you have a train that stops at Long Eaton. I have no idea why but it reduces the ticket cost from about £35 to £20!

I'm not sure how much it would be for a same day return for me, as I have a railcard so it will cheaper. I'm nervous about getting to New Street and nobody being there. I'll have no idea where to go! :))
 
Right no one is to bottle it... have a few drinks with breakfast for dutch courage and you won't give a **** what we all think :))

In all fairness, I have been to 3 or 4 of these meets over the years and I don't think I've met anyone with their sanity still in check so you'll be with like company :)) :)) :))

Don't worry about when you are at New Street. We'll arrange things nearer the time. Last year Sport_Billy arranged a rendezvous at New Street. I expect it'll be the same this year. I'm happy to meet up at New Street Station - and I'm happy to stay back if your train is delayed.

Okay phew! That is very kind of you. I'll get a train that gives me plenty of time I think. Even if I'm early I can always get a coffee at the station and wait for people. :)

I haven't a clue what time I'm getting in yet. If I'm really early - I may go to Selfridges - or even the vegan shop - we'll see !

We can pm mobile phone numbers nearer the time.

That sounds good :) I've never actually left the station in Birmingham before. So once I'm out the station I'm lost. :doh:

Hahaha, I don't think I've even replied to this thread to say I'm coming! Maybe now I've written this I'll be less likely to bottle out of it!
