Basil & Pedro shenanigans

Just reporting that over this winter Bashful Basil has become so friendly. He will allow strokes, and regular chin rubs, like never before! He does the cute toothy thing when they look up, which he never used to do either. Guess he's settled in after nearly 2 years😍

He's a gentle under piggie, who likes to zoomie round and is very happy and content with this.
It's so funny to watch Pedro be the big "I am" rumble strutting at every given opportunity when Baz crosses his path. Baz gives a little squeak and quite often follows that up with a popcorn, and goes on his merry way doing his piggie stuff. It's as if he's saying "yeah, yeah, I know you're boss piggie, no big deal, you do your thing, and I'm going to do mine, so there!" 😜IMG_20211212_120129794_optimized~2.webp

Aw Baz I like your diplomacy, let Pedro do all that silly rumble strutting malarkey you concentrate on having plenty of popcorning fun instead 💙

Pedro's trying to get at the leaves of my Japanese anemone
My pigs ate my pink one with no ill effects. I don't know that it does them any favours but they all piled in with gusto once one piggy had broken through the piggy-proof fence so it must have been delicious. Razed it to the ground. These things are renowned for being invasive and problematic but not for piggies!
I really want a posh white one for my shady little garden but they're quite expensive and I don't know if I dare

For future ref they also demolished the Hosta and Heuchera (both green and red types). There is now a piggy-proof wall!
