Hi there, I'm new to the forum, despite read it over the years!

Bit of a long shot, but I wanted to ask if anyone knows of a way to obtain the same hay B&M stock, without having to go to a store? Perhaps the same hay, but under a different brand?

It's the dandelion and cornflower varities, which retail at £1.99. My guineas absolutely LOVE it, and as I don't have a car and live in a small hamlet outside a city, I can't go get any. My job was based in the city centre, so was no problem to pop to the B&M there once a week and pick up a couple of packs.

Instead I ordered some Burns meadow hay, and have square bales of Timothy from a farm my shed (mainly for my horse) and got one pack with my Asda delivery and three packs of Tescos hay with my delivery from them. It's incredibly difficult to get groceries delivered here, I expect it's the same everywhere. So I *HAVE* hay, I/we just want the B&M hay!

A friend has kindly offered to get some for me next time she goes, but it's a long way out of her way, and could be some time.

Thanks, if you know of any solutions! :)

Have you thought about ordering some dried dandelion etc online and just mixing it in with your other hay?

I didn't realise it WAS different. I just thought The Range were being greedy on the price! 😬
Na the b and m one is made solely for b and m to buy.

The range one is different brand.. . Nature's own, who sell in different places and online But probs from the same field. Who knows 🤔

I know that NOW! But only after my Nature's Own delivery came and I put it in the shed next to the last B&M pack I had and thought 'ey up, what's this 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to buy my hay from b&m and home bargains.....until recently the quality of both have gone down rapidly.
I now buy a bale from my local horse feed store, lasts way longer,if you have the space to store it it's well worth it in price and quality.
Hay is hay in my opinion and charging the earth for cut grass is just greedy.it all comes from fields and all animals eat it,horses, rabbits,Guinea pigs,goats....I could go on lol...its just greed at the end of the day.

I agree. I'm happy with the price I pay for my timothy hay and sweet green hay from Nature's Own. My pigs love it. And I think that's the most important thing. That it's affordable and that they like it!

I'd love to buy a proper bale of hay like my dad used to produce from his fields. But storage would be an issue for me (I use my husband's man shed and he likes things neat in there 🙈)

I love Natures Own... I buy online now and it's always great quality!
I do too! Just on my second delivery. Prices are great. Min order value for free del is great too. And next day delivery! I've just discovered the sweet green hay and I'm using that for sleeping bag instead of another store's meadow hay. It's softer

I mean I'm using it for their sleeping hay. I'm not sleeping in it as a sleeping bag! 😂 😂

I have the Timothy Hay from Nature's Own. It's similar to the B&M one and I have interchanged both types with my pigs. You can buy from them direct or maybe find a local stockist?

This is the B&M one...

Hey! Thank you so much for this recommendation! I've been searching online but not come across this! This is the next best thing to the B&M stock - okay it's not gonna be the *exact* same, but it's *very* similar, affordable, easy to order online, plus the company has loads of other great stuff, and the delivery is free, what more could we want?! I've added it to my favourites and have a *large* order (added some green hay and treats in too!) on it's way! Thank you so much, fellow piggie people! Will post photos when the order arrives!🐹💖

I've tried their green hay. It IS really nice. I've just had my second order this week. My first was a month ago. I upped the amount of sweet green hay 😉 because I use it for their bedding now.

Yay! Our hay order arrived today! Super-fast delivery! Wow! So much in the green hay pack, and the treats are a big chunky size! I've just started one of my Tesco hay packs, so have stored these away for now, which Chappie "helped" me with! 😂 You guys recommending this company has been the highlight of the week for sure, thank you x ☺
