Hi All,

Just thought I'd mention that Kale is on offer in Asda for 50p a bag. I did some pig shopping online last night it's coming today. I don't mind doing it online as I can get my Calcium ratio's right etc. :)

It's a kind of cabbage it comes in bags already chopped. :)

hmmmmmmmm hehe, yeh my guineas love lettuce, but its so expensive atm, doesnt help that mum shops at sainsburys

Sainsburys is the most expensive after waitrose :o

Thanks for that S&T, I will ask David to stop off and get some bits from there. Lidls had absolutely nothing in the other day :(

yeh she only goes to sainsburys coz its easy to get to....dozy bum.....

'Kale is an archaic type of cabbage that grows loosely furled leaves, rather than forming a head. The leaves of kale have a distinctive ruffly appearance that distinguishes the plant from a close relative, collard greens. Kale tends to be a little bit bitter in flavor, although this bitterness is tempered by washing, cooking, and using younger leaves. Kale is also extraordinarily nutritionally rich, even among the leafy green vegetables.'

Aldi is cheap too, but I don't get lettuce from there. Cheapest lettuce at the mo is Round lettuce for 49p. Hmmm. :)

I'm confussed by the calcium ratio's and everything, can someone explain it please? :)

Oh heck Sophie...lol It confuses me I just try and use foods that don't have a lot of calcium in and give smaller portions of each food I've noticed less white pee when doing it this way. I use this http://www.guinealynx.com/diet_order-cal.html I find shopping online easier for the veggies as I can get it right, whereas if I go to the shops then they may not have all that I need and I'd end up buying something to substitute that isn't great for the calcium. :)

hope it is next thursday when i go :)

I got a couple of bags in Asda when it was 50p the other day. Gave some to hubby much to his disgust.

My veggies came at 5:30 tonight, a couple of substitutions but mainly ok. I was sent Mango chunks instead of Melon but thats cool! Pigs are in for a real treat tomorrow! :)

I still don't understand the Calcium thing...maybe I'm just overly stupid :-\

Rosie had Kiwi for the first time this morning :D

No your not stupid, it is confusing. I just make sure they don't have calcium filled foods all the time, and when they do I only give little bits of it. :) I've noticed an improvement in bladder sludge. :)

Asda are doing £1.00 off wagg optimum so it is £2.98 instead of £3.98 for 2.5kg

Asda have got all the herb and a lot of the lettuce for under 50p, went today and got parsley growing in its own pot for 50p it lasts longer cause its in its own pot. ;D

I got from asda this morning :

bananas
apples about 6 for £1
Pears about 7 for £1
cucumber reduced from 99p to 40p
carrots x 2 bags

cant remember what else ;D

I got 2 small bags of corriander and the piggies went made 7 wheeking and popcorning, even ones I had never seen popcorn did, it is great may buy it as a treat every month.

i bought the corriander for my lot to, they had parsely the week before and basil the week after ;D I'm going asda in a bit but cant get spinach, cabbage or herbs, they've had enough of them this week ;D

I stocked up with 6 bags the other day and I only have three piggies they are going to be sick of the sight of the stuff once it goes back to full price again

My other half seems to spend a fortune, then I realised he buys salad bags and organic stuff for the piggies
