Are They Fighting?

I have two 9 week old male piggies from pets at home (not the best) and we also have the typical pets at home cage (not the best), but we found them and fell in love with them. They aren't at the hormonal stage yet so I don't know why, but they keep sprinting around the cage and squeaking really high pitched at each other. We have only had them a week and I have been woken up 5 times in the night due to this and when they do it, they seem to be banging off the sides as if they are fighting or something. They sometimes have a small squabble if they go for the same piece of veg but every guinea pig does that, right? Does anyone know what's going on here? Can anyone let me know? xx
 
Can you describe what they are doing when they "squabble"?

Pigs need to bond so they might be working out who is boss. If this is the case then you need to leave them be unless they fight badly.

The banging around might be then popcorning and doing zoomies. Pigs sometimes get a spurt of energy and they have to run.

One of mine still does it even though he's 4. He sometimes wakes us up running figure 8's around his cage. It doesn't last long and he seems to be having fun so we just leave him be.

One takes the veggie from the bowl and the other tries to take it off him. They then squeak at each other in a really high pitch and then run away and hide. It doesn't sound like a lot but it stresses me to think that I have to leave them on weekdays from 9-3

Read through the guides, it might help you.
Give them as much space as possible especially as they get older, minimum 5 feet by 2 feet for 2 boars. Give them 2 of everything, hideys, tunnels, bowls and bottles, scatter the fresh food if they are squabbling over it.

It sounds perfectly normal behaviour to me; your boys are zooming (running), popcorning with joy and little squabbles over food are nothing to worry about. They are lively youngsters after all! While guinea pigs are most active during the dawn and dusk, they are and about during the day and the night at times. if your boys have excess energy, likes most of them have, then they have to find an outlet for it.
You will know when things are becoming more serious, don't worry - it has got a completely different level of tenseness and intensity to it. ;)

You might consider getting them an indoors run that is larger than the cage and also consider getting them a larger cage before they hit the teenage months, as every extra inch can make a real difference.
C&C cages or traditional cages from online places like zooplus are much better value for money compared to p@h. Many owner of boars find C&C grid cages useful because they are much more flexible and can be adapted to different needs (like a cage split).

I give,my boys seperate veggie trays and they still want what the other has even though they are,the exact same..and mine wheek and run around in the middle of the night and I have my cage on tubs so when they run and jump it echoes..i have one who likes to chew on his ceramic food dish at odd hours and that is louder,than the whikes...sounds,like they doing fine...
