Are guinea pigs noisy at night?

I always give my Piggys a last check before bed and they are usually in their sacks and settled down.

I suppose they get used to your routine. It's good to know that they will likely settle to sleep. Thinking of a space on our landing for piggies, although not sure I can convince hubby because he'd rather have them outdoors really.

They are generally quiet during the night appart from noisy drinkers and when they're rumbling each other if a girl's on heat or the boys are having a tiff.

Guinea pigs are Crepuscula animals, meaning they are more active at dawn & twilight. Mine sleep a lot in the day & get very active until around 11-12pm when they then go to sleep again :)

Ditto - I sleep in the same room as all 5 of mine - and sometimes I find bumbles rumbleing quite theraputic.

I find giving mine some veggies when I go to bed around this time makes sleep easier!

There's something very soothing about GP munching in stereo!

I found it very easy to sleep with my piggies in my room. The first night I had them there I burst out laughing and had the gigglefits as I could hear them chewing and it amused me -crazy I know.

It was then easy for a week until one of them found a plastic tube and started playing with it slamming it against the cage bars for about half an hour. :))

But that was when they were new to the cage and I'd only owned them for a week or so.

Ever since they are quite quiet, you get used to the normal noises like chewing, rumbling etc.

Jeffrey likes to popcorn INSIDE his pigloo rolleyes

I love having my Guinea Pigs in my bedroom, they usually settle down after half an hour but it's lucky I'm a heavy sleeper. It's nice to know they're there though and I like waking up in the morning seeing them popcorn and helping themselves to pellets and hay.
