Random I know!

But I have been hand-washing the water bottles with a bottle brush and putting the tops / spouts through the dishwasher for about a year when I discovered how well it works and that they don't melt!

Anyone else do it?

Oooh is that how to get them really clean? I don't have a dish washer but we plan to put one in so if they clean ok in there then that would be fab. We have glass bottles with metal spouts.

you can dishwasher the whole thing then! yes they come up beautiful in the dishwasher as otherwise it's hard to get them properly clean.

The old rice grain trick works well too. Place in the bottom of the bottle, fill with water and shake like mad :)
I use have used Milton occasionally but heard good and bad reviews - the bottles get a good rinse twice a day with a baby bottle brush :)

Will it work with plastic bottle tops? We have a dishwasher and I really struggle to get the bottle tops clean....this could be the solution {:|

I put my glass bottles in the dishwasher which come out sparkling but have never put the tops in...... will have to try as I clean them out with boiled water & cotton buds at the moment.

That's what I use it for - the plastic bottles. You can't dishwasher the bottle - they melt - but the tops down, not even on a super hot wash.
