Another slightly snuffling piggy 😣

So little miss marshmallow has decided that she would like to be snuffly now thankfully this time definitely not an emergency since shes still eating, maintaining weight and there's no obvious discharge from the eyes or nose/ not struggling to breathe but after loosing fluffy Tuesday very suddenly to a fast moving uri which showed no symptoms till she was already not eating/pooing I will be calling the vet to ask for a checkup! With fluffy she had a slight clicking sound after a syringe feed but it was on and off and stopped completely after an hour so I had no clue she had a uri having never experienced one. Anyway marshmallow sounds worse while Stuffing her face so it could just be she's eating too fast but it's something I'd like checking out incase its contagious! She lives below fluffy so I'm hoping the chance of contamination is low but at the same time there shouldn't be any irritants to cause the sound so I think best all round I at least speak with the vets about her. Noticed the snuffling yesterday, didn't get much sleep constantly watching her munch and she's definitely her usual self but still a little concerned under the circumstances!

There’s no harm at all in getting her checked out. Hopefully mild and easily treated, whatever it may be. Try and get some rest.

They're doing OK today I'm hoping they will be fine since they got meds super quickly and certainly haven't deterioted like fluffy did! I'm offering them some supportive feed in a bowl as they're getting a bit extra snuffly when they're eating and had lost a bit of weight but seem to manage the mushy stuff a bit better, they're still eating hay and veggies too they're just a bit easier on the snuffles with the mush! and I've been to pick nugget some fibreplex up as the proc wasn't quite enough to stop her getting soft poop but they're both eating by themselves so that's amazing xx i think in reality fluffy died of grief, she'd lost her sparkle after loosing princess, her new friends provided distraction but she never really quite was herself she always looked a bit sulky and off after that, I think she just wanted to go be with her soulmate again

I agree - Priscilla hasn’t been quite the same since she lost her best friend, Jemimah, although she’s happy with Phoebe and Micah.

Sounds as if Nougat and Marshmallow are holding their own. Hope they recover soon.

So all was well and then I took marshmallow out for her antibiotics and she had a little blood coming from her eye and nose, I'm not sure if she's haypoked as it does look slightly cloudy so I'm hoping the vets my friend works at will see her in the morning, my friends logged on her work system at home and registered marshmallow there for me as mine are closed tomorrow, another sleepless night, thankfully only a tiny amount and her weight is stable so I don't think we need to rush overnight I think it's worth a check though as she really isn't any less snuffly, in fact if anything she is more snuffly

Thankyou eye still looks a bit red but thank fully no more blood and snuffles finally seem to be improving a bit, the vets I'm hoping to get her eye checked at open in half an hour had no sleep again xx

Just at the vets, trip to Sheffield today to where my friend works since I don't really like or trust our usual out of hours all that much

She has some isathal no scratches on her eye just conjunctivitis

Both marshmallow and nugget have a recheck at my usual vets tomorrow to see if they need any more antibiotics, we're almost out and 5 days seems an awfully short course to me so I emailed them to ask and now they want to recheck them to see if they need the course extending hopefully they will be fine?
