Hello, don't really know where to start. Our lovely 3yo boar Norman got an abscess from overgrown molars a few weeks ago.
He's had 2 x operations to drain it and his teeth clipped and filed down.
He's completely not eating now.
We've been syringe feeding all this time but he's incredibly difficult to feed. We have to wrap him up completely. He's gone down to 760g today as new antibiotics metronidazole have given him diarrhoea. We're doing fibreplex and the powdered probiotic you recommend on here, thick critical care etc.
Vet hasn't left abscess open despite us asking last time after reading on here. Metacam 0.3ml once a day - says no more needed.
Do you think he's too weak for another op? Want to try Chine House or Cat and Rabbit, but unsure if we'd get in as emergency.
Feel quite desperate, we've been trying so hard to keep him going. 😢
Thanks for any advice. 🐾

I’m so sorry to hear this.

I would suggest you call cat and rabbit exactly on 8am and see what they say about the situation.

There is likely leeway upwards in his pain meds if he is in pain and needs it, piggies can take pain meds twice a day. A knowledgeable vet is needed on this front though

I hope he is ok
