A scottish visitor...

Kreacher has had some grass time on the lawn next to my three. The little lad certainly has spirit, he was rumbling up and down the divider with my Squeaks!

Debbie @furryfriends (TEAS) has just collected him and he is now on his way to Teas to get treatment for his teeth and poorly eye. Bye bye Kreacher, hope you are all better soon xx :luv:
He's a little rascal. That's why he got into trouble with his cage mate.

A bit of an update on Kreacher - he's settled in and was checking out all the other piggies within minutes of arriving. He's such a confident and characterful piggy. I am going to swap a couple of appointments, as I want Simon to see Kreacher today, rather than tomorrow, as I am very concerned that his eye may not be salvageable. Obviously, if he needs enucleation surgery, it would need to be done tomorrow, as Simon is on holiday, for a week, from Saturday onwards. Hopefully, I am over-reacting, but feel the sooner Simon sees the eye, the better.

The eye is currently concerning me more than the dental issue, as he's managing to eat fairly well. Simon will be able to sort the teeth today anyway, so Kreacher should be eating really well by this evening.

Glad he's seeing Simon today, the eye looked rather worrying to us too when he arrived here (though I've never seen a piggy eye injury before so I wouldnt really know, but it looked a bit dried out) so we popped his eye drops in straight away before we fed him and I dont think he could see much on that side...
Healing wheeks little Kreacher, hopefully if you cant save the eye the surgery is better done sooner rather than later, he will still be just as gorgeous as a one-eyed pirate piggy x

He's an amazing piggy and can see why you all fell in love with him! Yes, it is the fact it seems dried out that worries me. Whatever the outcome, we will ensure he has a great life. Piggy eyesight isn't that great anyway, so although I would prefer that he can keep the eye, it isn't the end of the world if he has to lose it xx

Glad Kreacher has settled in well and that he can see Simon today
I hope the eye can be saved, but if it can't I'm sure he'll do fine without it and he'll be just the same feisty and characterful boy :luv:

Aww I’m wishing him lots of luck, quite the journey he’s had

Sorry for no update last night, but when I returned from vet with Kreacher and Truffle, I found three piggies had been affected badly by the heat, one to a point where I couldn't see how he could possibly survive. All this happened in just an hour and half! They were immediately rushed to Simon, who thankfully was able to save them. They are all doing well this morning, although I feel physically sick and ill.

Simon saw Kreacher and his cornea is very badly lacerated, but Simon wants to try and save the eye, if at all possible. He has changed the eye drops from Isathal to Exocin drops, that will be applied four times a day. His incisors were a mess, but they have now been tidied up. The back teeth needed some work, with one side being mainly normal and the other side having four missing teeth. Simon is hopeful that dentally he will only need a tidy up of teeth every few weeks, but he wants to see him again in a fortnight to reassess the eye.

Thanks for the update  Sorry to hear about the pigs being affected by the heat and that it made you feel ill too, but glad they are feeling better.

I hope Kreacher went back to munching veggies as voraciously after his dental treatment as he was on Tuesday, and that the eye can indeed be saved. :tu:

Sending massive healing vibes to the piggies.
Hoping all the piggies recover and the temperature drops to a more decent level.
Come on little piggies.xx

Oh no hope your piggies are ok, the heat was crazy yesterday, what a stressful day for you rushing back and forth to the vet and all that worry! Sending hugs, you are an angel @furryfriends (TEAS) working flat out for all these piggies.
Glad Kreacher has seen Simon and got his teeth tidied up, his inscisors were huge, how did he end up with 4 missing back teeth!?
Best of luck with the eye too, poor little chap, but glad he's all getting sorted and getting a new friend too!
Please keep updating us x

@PigglePuggle I met up with Kreacher last Saturday at the TEAS Autumn Fair :luv: and it wouldn't be exaggerating to say that I hardly recognised him. His injured eye has all healed up and looks perfectly normal, and he has really filled out and looks so healthy. I'm told his teeth still need treatment every 3 weeks, bu there's hope that eventually such frequent visits to Simon won't be necessary and he can go and live with a foster-carer.
I was allowed a little cuddle  - though I don't think he recognised me either...

Yes it's very gratifying to know that one's efforts have been worthwhile - though of course it's Debbie and Simon who make the real difference for the piggies.
I guess I should have taken an 'after' pigture of him, but I didn't think of it of course - too scatty!
