A fair amount of weight gain

They eat plenty of hay, their hay racks are empty after about 2 days or so, the thing is Maisie isn't as confident as Daisy so even if I spread the food around Maisie doesn't come out for food as fast as Daisy does - so she literally does just hoover it up until Maisie plucks up the courage to come out :|

Please refill the hay constantly and place a pile of soft hay by or in the hut and see whether that does the trick.

I'll spread some hay by the entrance of their house then, so she can just munch on it from her house :)

If you can get hold of some soft hay (meadow hay is fine) try a big hay pile Maisie can dive into and hide in. Make sure that Daisy has her own so she can't chuck Maisie out. If necessary peg an old hankie or kitchen towel over the spot for extra protection.
Enrichment Ideas for Guinea Pigs

I'll make one up later today then, I'm going out to buy them some more hay anyways

Stalky timothy is best provided in a rack but soft meadow or orchard hay (it should not be stalky because of the risk of hay pokes to the eye) is better for playing, sleeping and in some cases toiletting on. I have several piggies who rather live in their hay tray as their favourite living-cum-bedroom. Snuggling into hay is very soothing for them - it spells safety and comfort to them. ;)

Awww cuteee!
I have two types of hay that they eat, I'm pretty sure one is a type of meadow hay (its green and quite soft) and a rougher hay that they like to nibble on - it's a sun dried colour and is soft but not as soft as the meadow one :)
