The boxes that Zooplus use for their deliveries (the box that the stuff you have ordered is packed in) are strong because they are double layered.

Are they any good for tearing up and giving to the piggies? They would be tougher to chew and might last a bit longer than the poor carrot cottage that has taken an absolute beating from seven pairs of chomping jaws!

I do not know how the two layers of corrugated cardboard is held together. Has anyone used these boxes before with their piggies? It would need to be chopped up first.

I have used them before with my previous piggies and rabbits and no harm has come to either of them. They make fantastic hideaways! Most ink used nowadays is soy based I believe but it is always best to double check just in case.

We used to use double wall boxes where I used to work, and I gave them to the pigs without even considering what was in the middle. They were all okay though.

Would you be able to cut into it and try to separate it a little to see what's inside?

I have used them before as toys so I don't see why not. A couple of my piggies like eating cardboard for rough fiber.

Mine get delivery boxes as beds - currently they have a VekUK one!

eta - I put cut the lid flaps off and put them in upside down (with a cutout door), so they're effectively floorless. This means they last much longer re. peeing in bed not turning everything soggy.
