I was wondering about this Zooplus cage, it's the skyline XXL rabbit and guinea pig cage.... http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/hutches_cages/guinea_pig_cages/120_cm_cages/83034

Is it big enough for 1 or more piggies? I was thinking of buying this, and it is really cheap to. I have six girls and wouldn't obviously put them all in this cage, but they free roam in a 6ft by 4ft shed. I thought if it got to cold this winter, I could get a few of these cages and put them in twos, but next to eachother. I have a nice place to put them, to make them all nice and snuggly.

Sorry for all the threads lately haven't been on the forum in awhile and have so much to ask. xoxo

I'm pretty sure its okay for 2 piggies, but I'd let someone else answer too. I have a c&c 2x5 for my 3, so I don't know about shop bought ones.
Sorry.

I know it would be a lot less space than a 6ft by 4ft shed for them, and they've already had 1 winter in the shed. But the colder it gets the more I worry.8...I don't want them to be cold, I might get an even bigger one and then put 3 in one cage and 3 in the other.

Yes, that cage is big enough for two guinea pigs :) I'm not sure about splitting your group up though

I know, I might just look for a really big cage. If not then I'm going to make sure the shed is nice and toasty. With heat pads, insulation cozies etc. hopefully it will put my mind at rest knowing that their not cold. :)

Yeh this would be fine. This size cage is the minimum size for 2 piggies. :))

Oh that's good. I think I'm still going to get one of these, but it might just been used if I have to separate pigs for some reason. Like they fight and draw blood etc, or one gets ill.

try an oil filled heater they keep sheds toastie warm :) word of caution about zooplus cages they come all the way from Germany so can often be damaged as mine was, however zooplus customer service is excellent :)

I have 4 of these cages and think they are great for short term stays, but a little small for permanent homes. However if the piggies can come out every day for exercire they should be happy. I actually cut a hole in one side of the tray and attached a play pen to the cage results is lots of space.

Worried that the cage will be broken :( did they repay you?

Oh that's good, I think I'm going to get them a pen, if I do decide to get the indoor cage.

they refunded me and let me keep the cage, I did have to send them pictures first though, if the box arrives damaged make sure you sign for it as damaged from the courier ;)

Oh ok, well it is quite cheap anyway the price only comes to £30.:)

Well I decided to order a cage and it came today! Thankfully it came in good shape, and I found a nice little spot for it in my room.(Or should I say big spot) The cage was bigger than I was expecting which was great. I put my one guinea pig Maisy in the cage that I mentioned in another thread was getting her fur all pulled out by one of my pigs that had become a mean barber. She loves it, running back and forth, she seems much happier. :)

Bump, no one replied so thought the people who told me about the cage might want to know. :)
