Have just joined this forum and thought I'd share some pictures of my guinea pigs with you. They're called Zig (the white one) and Zag (the brown one).

Opps that didn't work quite how I wanted it to! I'm useless with computers. But if you click on the link bit that ends with jpg they should pop up!

The white one's Zig. Yeah she's the cute one who sits with you for ages having a cuddle. Zag's the total opposite though, never lets you pick you up and if you try sitting with her for too long she gets fed up and starts trying to have explore, usually trying to wander off the end of the sofa and thinking I wont notice!

Welcome :) your piggies are gorgeous :smitten: :smitten:

I have to ask why name them Zig and Zag, cause that's a name of two guys here in OZ that were an act many many years ago :) err they are clowns :)

Welcome :smitten:

Gorgeous guineas.

Agoutis always make me go :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I named them after the puppets Zig and Zag

who were on Big Breakfast on channel 4. I always liked the show and I thought it was quite appropriate as my guineas are similar (ish) in colour to them. Everyone laughs when I tell them their names though! :)

Hi have just looked at the links, hilarous..and i read what they were all about, would have been great watching as a kid.
Nah our Zig and Zag were clowns and they did slap stick type comedy, they were around when i was a kid, so errr oh gee nearly 50 years ago and i think they'd been going a little while before i was born :o
I don't know if they can be googled or not, i must try....

Oh my goodness the red/brown one looks very similar to my Amber! Lovely pics :smitten:

I think she is, first guinea pig's I've had though and still not totally sure on the breeds! My mum always calls her an albino though I keep telling her not, she just doesn't listen. Then she'll ask if Zig is blind because she has red eyes. ? Silly non-guinea pig people!

I'm not 100% on breeds, but she has a bit of colour on her nose too? Albino? LOL White ones with red/pink eyes are called PEWS (pink eyed whites) ;)

Nah she ain't blind! LOL i have a few piggies with red eyes :)

Yeah she has dark ears and a little patch on her nose, gets lighter and darker though. Sometimes her nose will look really dark and other times you can bearly see the colour.
I think guineas with red eyes are cute, although I heard someone in a pet shop the other day look at a piggy with red eyes and say it looked evil! >:( How mean

they do look kinda evil sometimes but I have some girls with pale pink eyes and they look weird too ;D

I had a bunny with grey ears and a grey nose and red eyes! She was so beautiful :) But the council released a bug which KILLED her :'( the bug 'controls' the population or some Cr*p! She was all while apart from her ears so like a himi piggy in the form of a bunny :smitten:

Some people do honestly think that! I can understand to a point, but I love 'them! :)

Love the first picture where Zag is looking out from the hiding place. Both beautiful guineas. Zig isn't an Albino, I think there is himi in him. :)

Thanks every one for all the nice comments :) I shall be sure to pass them onto Zig and Zag, although I think their heads will swell with all the compliments!

They're spoilt rotten as it is, I'm always being told I spend too much time with them, I get up extra early so that we can have a morning chat and spend ages with them in the evening. They know they're spoilt too, they just have to look at me a certain way and they get anything. I always buy them organic fruit and veggies and now they wont eat anything else! If I dare they just stare at me and wheek and whistle until I get them something better. They're my babies :smitten:

It is a little bit more expensive but I just don't look at the price! I know they prefer it and organic always last longer. Also they've eaten more different things since I've got them organic. They would never eat apples before but they LOVE organic ones and gobble them up, same with oranges too.

Well it's worth every cent err shilling then O0
I've tried Duke on a few different veggies and he just looks disgusted at me, might try some organic and if he doesn't eat it well i will :) Thanks O0
