Hi,
Last week Monday we lost our guinea Lisa. Since we still had our 3 year old girl Fien here, we took her to the shelter for dating, where she fell instantly in love with 8month old Loki (and so did we when we saw her). Loki has been with us now since Sunday. I have noticed that she sometimes breathes a bit strangely, although I am not sure it's the breath. It could be her making a sound I am not used to. I have never adopted a young guinea pig before, so maybe I am not used to sounds they tend to make? She mostly seems to make this sound when she is eating. Tonight she is also sneezing quite a bit, she hasn't done this until now.
The first day she arrived here, she gained 40g and her weight has been stable since then ( we weigh her daily for the moment). She is also very active. There is no snot coming from her nose. One of her eyes was had a bit of discharge in it when she arrived, but now already looks much better.
Is there any reason for me to be worried? Or am i just a helicopter mom?
