My name's Lizz, I'm 19 studying for a degree in Animal Management. I'm interested in working with rescue animals, or in animal welfare such as a charity worker, I also enjoy ecology. I also work part time in a pets store as a sales advisor. I have a boyfriend who I've been with for two and a half years (read the relationship thread xoxo) My other hobbies are reading (frankenstein is my favourite book), drawing even though I'm no good especially compared to people on here, and playing on X box live! 8

I was diagnosed with Diabetes in 2004,which was a bolt out of the blue,as I have always kept fit,ate healthy and have always been slim.I control it with Insulin and tablets and having to constantly watch what I eat.
I enjoy keeping fit,retail therapy,reading.

I absalutly adore animals, i have 2 wonderful children Sarahs who's 2 and Jack who's 1. They are such beautiful children and i love them so much. I have 9 guinea pigs that are all in my bedroom rolleyes I dont drink as i did all that scene when i was a few years younger. I dont go out as i have a problem with the out side world but I'm getting there ive made plans to go out twice next week and the lady wont let me cancel.
I live in a nice big house with my kids the guineas and 3 cats and 2 lizards a terrapin and a fish, lmao!

Yes, I was thinking about the depression thing earlier I have noticed alot of posters have depression/anxiety problems I myself included so was wondering if we are drawn to owning piggies because they make us happier!
I first got my piggies at a really low point in my life.

Hi, I'm Lorraine i'm 28 I have three kid's 5 guinea's and my daughter has 2 hamster's, i have been with my partner for 4 years ish (none of the kid's are his) I love starting new hobbie's and go all mad on them then get bored and find another so far they include crochet,nail art,crossstitch rug making, making guinea pig toy's styling my girl's hair I get quite good at them then just teach my self something else. I don't work and my OH got made redundant last year. I love my guinea's and watch them for age's and i love it when they wheek at me.Oooh I love this forum too|)

I am Laura :p I'm 22 and got married in may this year. Have been with my hubby 5 years. We have 9 piggies and 1 hamster. Were trying for a baby as were desperate for one! I am training to be a nail technician. I havent ever been able to work as I have clinical depression, weve had to manage on Ants wage so I'm hoping to work from home doing nails.
I am an amature photographer and Artist. I love punk rock music (But I like all types too) I love reading, watching dvds and tv and eating! I also love cooking but HATE the washing up that comes with it. lol. I would like to loose weight! I tend to come on the forum at night as I have insomnia!
I don't have any friends in 'real life' because I dont go out that much, thats why I appriciate all the friends I have made on this forum. I am scared of spiders! I Love fashion and have a collection of shoes, bags and shades, But I also like fashion from a arty point of view. I also Love makeup. I have trichotillomania and pull out my lashes and eyebrows (please dont judge me, its an illness ) I have to wear dark eyeshadow and liner at all times and draw on my eyebrows.
I cant think of anything else right now... oh and I used to do angel,tarot, rune readings for people.

I have two piggies, Poppy (2 months) and Joanie (4 months). They are my babies and I looooooovvveeee them.
I have a boyfriend of *counts*, holy cow, 6 years named Dylan. Who I love almost as much as my little piggy girls (hahaha kidding!) He loves them too, I love seeing them together. It is so cute when I catch him taking phone pigtures of them! Tehe
I am 22 year old. Live in California. Love cooking and baking, but hate dishes like @piggiewiggie! haha Don't really like veggies too much so my girls end up eating WAY healthier than me. I'd rather have a plate of pasta! I am a preschool teacher and constantly sick now because of it.
I love pandas. Used to be super obsessed, then I got my pigs now I am obsessed with them, but of course still love those little black and white bears! I had a San Diego zoo membership last year and went all the time to see all the pandas, including the adorable baby one

I've known her for three years.

I am the youngest of three kids, the only one living at home still.

My interests are photography, art -mostly colouring. I adore colouring and have been told some of my work is proffesional looking but I don't think so at all xD I enjoy baking, though I'm not really fond of cooking. It's quite dull. I enjoy writing a lot. I write stories daily, usually with my friend, the one who I mentioned above that lives in Arizona.

I've got a pretty shut in life because of my social anxietys but I'm hoping to learn to drive once I get a slip from my doctor next week. I'm quite excited. =)

I am a deputy manager in a betting shop, i have been in and out of this job for the past 8 years. My hobbies are reading, cross stitch, going to the cinema, spoiling my piggies and ice hockey, (watching not playing @)) i go to watch my local team, Milton Keynes Lightning, every week and follow a team in america called Boston Bruins.

I was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, after years of feeling like i have been hit by a bus every morning they have finally diagnosed me, I'm trying out some meds for it and i'm trying not to let it rule my life!

I'm incredibly broody (I have been since I was about 18 thoughrolleyes) but I want to wait until we're a bit more financially stable before starting a family- all my friends say if you do that you'll never have kids. Also I need a bigger house first otherwise I'd have to boot the piggies out of their room. So for the time being I make do with my three gorgeous god daughters x)
My mum & dad got me Bailey almost 5 years ago, they got him with a gorgeous half lop bunny Tia (yeah I know alcohol theme there) P@H said they would be good companions. I soon researched and got Bailey his own cage though. Sadly Tia died on the 25th October 2006 aged about 11 months, she'd always been a poorly bunny.
I got Archie bun on the 26th Nov the day we moved into our house, Holly followed a few months later after Archie had been "done".
Last year my boss's two "girl" guinea pigs had babies, I said if there was a boy I would have him as a friend for Bails. It was up to me to sex them, they were all girls but I told Neil there was a boy so I could get another rolleyes
I confessed when I got home and got onto ordering Amber her new cage.
My Bailey bum went to Rainbow Bridge on June 29th this year. It was clear that although they hadn't lived together Amber missed having a piggy to talk to, so along came Coco.
I have a goldfish called Jezza too

Apart from my animals, I love cars & F1, football, cross stitch and shopping.

I'm gonna mention something as it was brought up in the thread. -I think a lot of us are drawn to piggies for their therapeutic tendencies. I know my piggies make me feel so much happier when I'm feeling down. It's great to start off the day with a cuddle from my babies.

I'm Rachel, I am 20 years old (everyone tells me I'm old before my time though ) I've been with my boyfriend just over 3 years and have recently moved to Gloucestershire with him. I was a Leisure Supervisor (in charge of a health club) but quit because I didn't have time for anything else and it was quite stressful so now I haven't got a job and don't really want to carry on in the Leisure industry so really don't know what to do :{. My boyfriend's a gamekeeper so is ALWAYS working but he loves it and I can go to work with him when I want to.

My hobbies are: running, generally keeping fit, football (Hereford United), our four piggies, tv soaps and comedys.

Aswell as our four piggies (Branston, Junior, Rodney & Delboy) we have two dogs, plus one on permant loan from my boyfriends grandad. Roxy is our sprocker spaniel and is soooooo crazy, Danny is a golden lab and Toby (whos on loan) is a springer spaniel. They are all working dogs because my OH is a gamekeeper so I don't have much to do with them

Helloo I'm Laura or Laura-Jane (my full name) I'm 20, I've been with my OH for three and a half years now and we love children and can't wait for own little one's when we're financially stable, we both would love to be married but can't quite afford the wedding part yet - we have a big family!

Dave is a huge games fan and is currently studying games design . I'm at university last year studying fine art, I'm hoping to become a primary school teacher and draw my illustrations on the side. I adore art (not modern not a huge fan of beds made of bread and what not) and I am keen on drawing, sewing, baking and spending time with my family. I work voluntary at my local primary school, and really enjoy working there. I love animals, all shapes and sizes and have always wanted to see elephants in the wild...I will get there some day!

My plans in life are: To enjoy myself, and become a mother!

Between my OH family and mine we have one dog, two chickens, a pony, six guinea's and two cats!

I am a huge fan of the flicks, morning telly and you will always find me with a cuppa in one hand and a pencil in the other!

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am 16 years old. I'm studing animal management at college and own 3 gorgeous piggies called Bradley, Barney and Rodney. As well as my pigs, my family has 5 dogs. We have Meg who is a 14 year old Springer Spaniel, Roz who is an 11 year old Springer Spaniel, Bob who is a 10 year old Springer Spaniel, Ben who is a 13 year old English Cocker Spaniel and last but not least we have Flick who is a 5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer. All of the spaniels have been working dogs but Meg and Ben are retired now, Roz and Bob are still going strong though. Flick was a rescue and is just a pet.

As you can see I'm absolutely barmy about animals! In my spare time I love nothing better than horse riding, unfortunately I may have to give up my lessons soon because at £18 every week I can't afford it. I'm also an avid artist, I love to draw and paint. My other hobbies are reading and listening to music, I have a slight obsession with Michael Jackson x)

If you know me well I am a very bubbly and random person, if I don't know somebody I tend to be very quiet - people often think I'm moody but I'm not, I'm just being shy! I suffer with low self esteem and I worry constantly about my weight and what people think of me, I can be very paranoid too that people are talking behind my back. I get upset very easily but then again I'm a very emotional person.

I'm Tracy, I'm 22, I live in the West Midlands which is where I work as a children's cancer nurse. I have been with my boyfriend Craig for 7 (!) years in February, he is training to be an accountant. We are hopefully buying a house early next year. I love animals, I have 28 piggies, 2 multimammates, 2 harvest mice and 4 gerbils. I also have a skinny pig, Oliver. My mum has two dogs and I want my own when we get our house. We aren't engaged yet but we've already planned our wedding, we'll have to wait till we can afford it though :p I also love reading, I love going to the cinema and films in general, and fashion. I have a real thing for designer shoes and holidays, I have been to London and Paris and want to do Milan and NY (fashion 'capitals')! Next year we're going to Venice and I'm SOOOO excited I'm counting down the weeks!

My name is Stacey, I am 25 years old and I live with my husband Gaz who is also 25. We have been together for just over 9 years and have been married since April 2010.
I have one cat called Coco, a cockatiel called Russell and of course a gorgeous guinea pig called Reggie
I do foreign exchange at Ilkeston Co-op Travel and have been doing this job since I left college. My hubby works at Rolls Royce.

I dont really go out much but I love to go out for meals with my hubby and also to the cinema, I occasionally go out with my friends although I only have a couple of close friends.
Hubby and I are also car fans, He has a Mitsibishi Evo and we sometimes go to car meets and also to racetracks around the country where he takes part on the track and I sometimes go with him as a passenger.

My hobbies are Slimming World, eating out, cinema, movies & travelling etc.
I am abit boring and do really do much to be honest lol.
I go out once a week to a place called Funky Club Fitness where I do one hour of intense circuit training and boxing.

Hi i'm Eilidh, i'm 22 years old and live in Edinburgh with my bf. I graduated last year with a degree in food, nutrition and health and I am now doing my second degree in childrens nursing. Eventually, I hope to use both degrees and be involved in infant and early years nutrition. I currently do some charity work with adults with acquired brain injuries and also work in a respite unit with adults with complex needs which is a fantastic job!

I have 2 guinea pigs...Sam and Dillon and 2 rabbits which are really my mums and are at her house Flopsy and Nutmeg who are all "free range" pets
