hi i have 2 piggies that live inside we have had them 1 week i was just wondering could we put them outside in a hutch with a nice run during the day then bring them in on a night?or will the temp change be to much for them?any help would be great thanks.

During the summer I put mine outside when its nice and they get a long sunny day outside, then when the evening draws in I bring them back inside.

This week I have managed to get them out for about an hour and half at about 4pm the last few days as the weather here really warmed up then and I put their runs in a nice sunny spot.
But as soon as I find it chilli outside they come back in.

The grass at the moment is stopping quite damp and cold now Autumn is setting in and its not good for them to feel the chill on their tummies, piggies do not tolerate extreme weather changes.

If we dont get anymore nice weather this year my piggies will have to wait until next spring when we see nice warm weather again. But it doesnt stop them enjoying grass as I grow some in washing up bowls or pick it from the garden, and they still get lots of exercise exploring behind the settee and running around my house :)) So it can still be fun to live inside until then.
