Junior Guinea Pig
Hi
Caught my piggies foot putting in the water bottle today as she was climbing the side (she was fine!) but as I was checking her over I noticed yellow scabby looking patches on her front feet.
I hadn’t noticed this on their last nail trim which was only a week or so ago but maybe it’s because trimming their nails in enough of a battle!
I checked over the other three girls and noticed that they had the same thing to varying degrees- dry/yellow patches, some on the foot sone look like they are attached like scabs half off. They only had them on their front feet . I have looked into it and am really hoping it isn’t bumble foot- their feet didn’t seem very red and there was no bleeding. I found a website that talked about corns and it looked more like the pictures there.
anyone had a similar experience? What can I do to manage these? Sorry for rubbish pictures trying to move their long hair and big heads out the way was a nightmare!
Their behsviour hasn’t changed I haven’t noticed them being irritated by their feet
Also for reference they are on shavings which I spot clean every other day in a 6x2
