Yawning

Sometimes are yawns just yawns? Or are they always a 'bearing their teeth' sign?

guinea pigs do yawn so they can just be a yawn yes

Right, good! Just whenever I see Hamish yawning I sit on the edge of my seat just incase something happens!

Their mouths look so small and yet their teeth are massive! It's a wonder how they fit them in

If a guinea pig yawns at another, it's saying "Stay away from me!"

However, they also yawn when they are tired or have just woken up from a nice nap.

Riiight ok then.
Well Robin was munching and Hamish was sitting watching him and he yawned...but due to no teeth chattering at the time I assumed it was a tired yawn, but I wasn't sure!

They are funny when they yawn, Marvin yawns alot but I think it purely I'm tired!

I love it when they yawn especially during cuddles it says i am so relaxed and happy

Yes they sleep. I *think* they sometimes sleep with their eyes open as it makes them look less vunerable because obviously in the wild they are prey animals.
