Would This Hutch Be Ok?

This has come up on a local selling page. I'd need to make 2 ramps to link the hutches which I'd put something on for them to grip. I'd also replace the door catches with proper sliding locks. Would it be ok for 2 piggies?

That looks great! Paint it with some Cuprinol colourful paint and it would look great and be protected!
Looks pretty sturdy to me.

Yes I'd definitely paint it, my next question would have been what paint is suitable lol.

That's what I used on mine and I know it's pet safe. Comes in awesome colours too. Cheapest place I've seen it is wilkinsons

The lady sold it this morning despite my interest but after a look on eBay this came up, we were in the area, viewed and loved it. The lady selling it does Guinea pig boarding and had 7 happy, healthy piggies in her living room, rabbits in the garden. I am so happy

How would you set it out? Obviously they'll have their bed areas, but I was thinking having the top as a kind of snuggle area with comfy beds etc then the other two floors having some toys/chewy things for them with their food on the second level? Will I need a litter tray?

You don't NEED to use litter trays. A lot of forum members use them - but they aren't essential. I use of them as they are a great way of providing hay areas . I've stopped using plastic trays as I've found that cardboard boxes are much more fun.

I have seen people putting hay in them, I've also seen hay bags which I like too

If you get hay by by the bale and big bags of shavings from a local farm or horse feed supplier, you can experiment with a layer of shavings and a layer of hay on each level and in the bedrooms.
