Would A Guinea Pig Chew Through This?

Depends on the guinea pig really.
Two of mine are enthusiastic chewers and are steadily working on eating their hutch!
One is less bothered. He is a boy and just likes to eat and rumble strut :))

What I would say is that something like that would probably work ok as a temporary enclosure while you were cleaning their cage of giving them some floor time, but they couldn't live in it full time, and I wouldn't leave them unsupervised in it.
What were you thinking of using it for?

I was thinking of using it as a temporary home for when I went away and my parents would be looking after them

In all honesty I don't think this would work as a cage for them to 'live' in (as opposed to just spend an hour or two in).
Firstly it would get very dirty and smelly quite quickly, and would be rather fiddly and difficult to clean.
Plus it wouldn't take a determined piggy much time at all to chew their way out.
I am sure there are much easier and cheaper solutions.
What sort of space would your parents be keeping them in - living room with carpeted floor, conservatory, utility room, etc?
Do your parents have any other pets (cats, dogs, etc).
How many pigs do you have, and what is their regular cage like - wooden, metal, indoor, outdoor?

I am sure if you give people some details they will have lots of suggestions for you.
Personally for indoor run time we use a metal run that folds flat for storage. We put a large fleece blanket underneath and lots of hideys dotted around, and the pigs love it.
The metal run was actually designed to go on a lawn, but it is fine inside if you put something underneath.
The pigs don't live full time in the run because I personally don't think it is big enough, but if I ever needed emergency accommodation, or something to use for a couple of days when we are traveling then it would actually be perfect.
Maybe something like this could work for you too?

It's a terrible photo (I am iPhone impaired) but hopefully it gives you a vague idea what I mean.

I agree!

We use one like this as a run when away in the caravan and also when we attend events like the potteries fairs and TEAS open days. We have a couple of chewers and they have never shown an interest in chewing it.

I have it, and my piggies chew through this. I used it as a playpen for floor time, I have the biggest one. Now I use this: :)
Also, as @Swissgreys said, it gets very dirty and it's difficult to clean.

@Swissgreys May I ask what is the name of your run, were did you get it?

We got it in our local Swiss pet shop, so sadly I don't think this will help you much

But having said that, if you do a quick search on either E-bay or Amazon for 'metal play pen' or 'outdoor metal run' you will come up with lots of similar options.

I like the look of the one that @Bitsato linked to above.

Then all you need to do is pop a liner, or fleece blanket and shower curtain underneath, and you have a ready made home for your piggies. :luv:

Thank you :)

I have the fabric folding one too - very early purchase before I got my boys - they never chewed through and found it a bit hard to keep really clean unless I lined it like a normal hutch - I unzipped one of the door panels and added on a cat carrier to extend the area they had and to have somewhere for hay - they did most of their peeing in there too so that was handy! If there are no pets in the house it would be fine for a short time - but if a cat sits on top it sags and then the cat can paw at the piggies. (my cat tried this!).

Also wouldn't use it pegged outside with the bottom unzipped as it's easy for them to squeeze out or a cat to get in. So if you want something you can use outside too the folding metal ones are great and take up little space, :)
