I gained a little piggie a couple of days ago dumped on my door step we think he is a sheltie . he is a real handsome chap , though I'm a little concerned as he doesnt seem to come out of his piglooo much i know hes getting used to everythng but he wont even sneak out for his fruit and veg , hes ok whenwepick him up he skitts all over the place just wondered if i should be worried

I'm sure he's fine, poor little fella being dumped he's probably just a bit nervous after what he's been through. well done for looking after him, as long as some food/hay/veg is going then you know he is eating. just keep putting veg in for him and he will eventually start to get more confident x

he's most likely to be in a bit of shock about what he's been through and will take him time. Another thing you could do would be to tkae the pigloo out and out in a cosy cup for him and loads of hay to hide in. thats what i did with my piggies and they are great now. xx

hes had a little sneak out and took some veg , i havent seen him drinking omg I'm like a mother hen , hes soo cute . hes a little thin but ive been trying everything i have in fridge to tempt him lol hes sat quite happily with my partner on his knee and never bothered just laid there I'm just a worry pot with my babies lol

good on you for taking him in :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: is he a little baby or older piggy? ? i can't understand how people can dump their piggies or any animal for that matter :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: give him time to settle in and get use to you and his surroundings. you might want to put some pellets in a food processor or coffee grinder add pre boiled water, and 1-2 teaspoons of baby food puree like sweetcorn. this way he will get some food, put on some weight and get use to you and his surroundings too, or critical care if you have it. wrap him in a towel when feeding him and use a syringe or a spoon to feed him. he sounds like a little darling and that just makes me more angry with the :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: that did this to him. sending him and you all hugs from me and the girls in oz :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-*

i got up this morning and he has eaten , hes sticking his nose out of the hay as i type hes sooo gourgous i reacon hes around 5 mnths as hes a similar size to one of the other boys i have
hes a fab guy just going to need some patience , he will sit on my lap and not move though i dont no whether thats with being scared or what xx
