Gwain who was a cross from the pinkeyed lilacs has passed away at about 6t months old i'm now worried that Louisa and Arthur are at risk and yesterday tuesday Louisa gave birth to a boar at 140gms doing very well at mo when i get my computer working i'll post pics
Laurent is also making me worried as i do not know what this 'ticking time bomb' will do and when i have decided they are all staying here until at least 6 months old as that sems to be the switch on possibly something to do with maturing /puberty? But after having Zippys new mum on the phone in tears i'm not putting myself or any one else through that again they stay and then see if they are ok
Feel like i've let them all down and bally angry with previous owners and the $*!* people who passed them on to them!

you haven't let them down, you've provided them with a home where they are well cared for, loved and fed properly. Their time with you may have been short but i bet they loved every minute. I hope that the others will be ok :smitten:

I agree, you have made their lives so much better!

It is sensible to wait and see what happens, if a hereditary problem exists it does seem to happen at either around 6 months or 2 years. I think this is what it was with Sunnys joint problems when he was around 6 months. I am waiting for them to swell up again but he is perfect at the moment! It is frustrating not knowing the breeding history as then it is gusswork really :-\

(((hugs))) Ron you have not let them down, you've given them a chance. Sadly as I've said to you before it sounds like a genetic problem out of your control. Rooting for the ones that you have left. :smitten:

agree with above posts O0 you have given these piggies love, happiness and care, things some of them never knew before. O0 you can't blame yourself for something that is out of your control, just give them all cuddles and love and know you make a difference to these piggies lives O0 sending hugs and hoping remaining piggies stay well
:smitten: :smitten: :smitten: don't make glynis come over to hit you ;D ;D ;D

Ron love please don't belt yourself around like this :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
What you've done for all those piggies is amazing :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: for the first time in their lives they've known love, care and attention, unlimited food and a beautiful home to live in, honestly love what more could you have done?
((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) and loves from us both, we think you're just the TOP :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
