Junior Guinea Pig
Hi This might be a very long winded story but please bare with me as I'm very worried!
I have two boys (Elvis and Percy) about 3 months and I was in the pet shop the other day buying treats and toys for them the other day I never had any intention of getting another guinea pig any time soon but I do have the capacity and a cage big enough to comfortably home 4 I thought Id go just have a nosey at the baby guinnea pigs in the store so had a look over and was really horrified by what I saw! In the cage they had two tiny guinea pigs then one much much larger guinea pig now I wouldn't consider this bad if the much larger guinea pig wasn't "picking" on one of the much smaller guinea pigs not just the regular asserting dominance type thing but really squabbling rolling round on top of it backing it jnto a corner keeping it away from food when it got really physical I must have caused abit of a scene I practically screamed the man over he broke it up checked the smaller one for any bleeding and then replaed him in the cage only for him to cower in a corner it broke my heart! So today I dropped in again and realised the other small one had been bought now the one that was being picked on and the big one only remain same behaviour happening! I really want to buy the small one to save him even though I know I couldn't do that every time but I don't know if my much older boys that have been together since birth world take to him and it would brake my heart to have to give him away or send him back if they didn't
any advice on what to do?
