Wooden house question...

Those of you with wooden houses for your pigs bedrooms - do these get stinky with wee?
 
Hello I have the rabbit cottage from pets at home that doesn't have a bottom on it. The house is on puppy pad, Escobedo and newspaper and although they wee in the corners of the house it doesn't smell at all

I paint the inside of all wooden items so that they can be cleaned :-)
 
I've bought one too and wondered if they would just use it as a toilet as they do wee mostly in the corner. Hopefully if it's positioned in a different corner they won't wee in it. Trial & error I guess. :)

Wilkinsons colour garden , its £6.95 for a litre and animal safe once dry. 1 litre is loads and I used it to do an entire double tier 5x2ft hutch!
 
Ahh right. I wasn't sure you could get paint that was animal safe, but then it's years since I've looked at anything like that. :)
 
Oh ok, never thought of painting it, maybe i will have a think about that in the spring. They love their wooden house
