Wooden cat litter?

Is this suitable as a bedding in a hutch? I use it in my cats litter tray and also my rabbits litter trays but I'm not sure if all over a hutch would be too rough on their feet. I was thinking newspaper, layer of wooden litter, then hay on top. I’ve looked through the bedding thread but couldnt see it mentioned very much

Hi, I personally wouldn’t use it as it turns to a wet mush when urinated on. I’ve used it for my cats before and wouldn’t use it for my piggies. There are far better bedding options available Bedding For Guinea Pigs - Overview
