Can any one tell me if I can use wood pellets under fleece?

The pine pellets that turn to mush when wet? I heard if someone doing it but they also put a layer of towels or something under the fleece so the pine dust doesn't stick to the fleece. Maybe someone will have tried it to see if it works well.

Just got my fleece from b&m store 2 for £3.99 washed them once dried them and straight away they wicked, result. Now what to put underneath the fleece

Well there they said they don't put anything under it so you could try it and see without anything over the pellets and then add something if needed!
I wish my cage could hold that much weight, fascinating 8 whole weeks

I'd think that when the wood pellets turn to mush on contact with the urine, the mush would stick to the fleece. I use puppy pads under my fleece and they work wonderfully, so absorbant and cost effective, I buy 100 puppy pads for around £12.99 from B&M and they last me around 3 months or more.

How often do you change the puppy pads and fleece?

Each of my cages is 4ft by 4ft so I change the puppy pads once a week, if your cage is smaller then you might need to do it more often. I also use litter trays and the boys do quite a lot of their pooping and peeing in there so the rest of the cage tends to stay cleaner. In high traffic areas such as underneath hidies, I use vet bed as this keeps them dry even when they've peed loads on it.

My cage at the moment is only 100 cm I'm waiting for the extension to make it 140 cm

You could get a type of mesh. Put that on top of the wood pellets then the fleece on top? So the wee can still soak onto the pellets but they don't stick to the fleece.

I know @PiggieHerd uses wood pellets.
