Wood Chews

so i have a lot of the little wood things you get when you buy canvases and i wanted to know if they are safe

the wood things in the corner that come with the canvas

I wouldn't use them.

You don't know what the wood is - or whether it has been treated with anything - or whether it's small bits of wood glued together.

Some woods ( e.g. pine) are not good for guinea pigs.

ok thank you maybe I could bake or boil the wood maybe then it will for sure be safe

I would guess that even baking or boiling wood would not necessarily remove any toxins or glue. Personally I wouldn't risk it, I mean I like the idea of using everything and not having waste but a piggies health just isn't worth it when there's so many unknowns
