Hey I went on vacation and left my guinea pig alone for the weekend. My sister came and check in on her Saturday. ( I left Friday and returned Sunday). Her food, hay, and water was untouched. When I returned she was really excited and began eating. she has lost a little weight though she seems fine. This happened one time before when I went to my sisters for a night. I’ve only had issues when I wasn’t there at all. ( normally I am)Any reasons why? Is this normal?

No it’s not normal. in fact a guinea pig who stops eating will quickly become very poorly.

does your piggy have a companion piggy to live with? If not, then I would suggest that it could well be loneliness causing her to stop eating. Piggies are highly social and must never be kept alone, always kept in pairs.

I weighted her. She’s back to her normal weight She’s eating now she just barely eats when I’m gone

was the failure from a rescue or elsewhere? Hopefully you will find her a friend soon. Even living alongside is better than nothing. Good luck.

Hope you can find a friend soon. If you have to go way again before she has a companion, you could see whether the rescue could temporarily take her in so she could maybe be kept alongside other pigs?
