Any ideas will works

Thanks

Is he eating veg? If so, then he could just be getting enough water from that.
Are there wet patches in the cage/is he urinating well? How much water are you giving him? Have you tried stopping giving him water and seeing if he drinks for himself?
Do bear in mind that some piggies don’t drink much anyway. One of my boys will drink and I will see him drink. The other one, Ive only seen him at the water bottle a handful of times in three years - he never drinks. Neither of them ever empty a water bottle. It only ever goes down by a few ml, barely noticeable.

If you feel he isn’t eating and eating properly due to the dental, then he needs to go back to the vet

Hi - has he always been water-shy or has it been since his teeth have been done? Or has it happened with age?

As pigs get older they can get a bit stiff with arthritis and this can mean it is hard for them to reach up to a bottle so it looks like they are just not interested. You could try lowering the bottle right down to his mouth level in addition to providing a shallow bowl for extra water. One of mine hid a lot and I put an extra bottle in with the spout pointing into where she slept at night... we could hear her rattling the spout all night long then. She just didn't want to come out into the open when it was dark!

Sometimes people add things to the water (like vitamins or probiotic) that are supposed to be good for piggies health but we don't recommend that here as it can put them off drinking if the water tastes 'wrong'.

Some pigs just don't drink much - as long as the pee is flowing freely he's working things out for himself. But I understand your worry - it's good to make sure that if he wants to drink he can... and you are probably a bit warmer over there than we are over here right now!
