Hi All,

I have brought my piggies into my outhouse. It is very nice with a tiled floor and an oil heater. Now the days are getting shorter and I dont have masses of windows for them, will it cause them any ill effect. I have an opaque skylight and frosted glass door panel. It is difficult moving the cage in at night and back out for the day so they can get enough daylight. Do you have any advice.

Thanks

Hi, mine get about 18 hours , but my pigroom is in my house, but if you are worried they are not getting
enough light , you could always buy a grolux daylight floresant tube , thay are the one used in fish tanks and vivarioms

most good pet shops sell them

Thank you. I had a fire here in the summer which was just terrible. It gutted my washroom outside. It was an electrical fault with the freezer. I would rather avoid using unsupervised electrical items out there at the moment, but if you think they do need additional lighting, I will give it a go. Thanks for your advice.
