New Born Pup
I was hoping for a bit of advice about housing my 2 girls over the winter. I got them around Feb this year and they were very young and little, they lived indoors until the summer came when they moved outdoors into a 5ftx2ft hutch with a larger run downstairs and have been happy out there ever since.
Moving them indoors this winter is not an option due to space. I was hoping some advice on which of the following options would be a better compromise, I'm aware that neither option is perfect.
Option 1: move their current 5ftx2ft hutch onto the patio next to the house which would give them a little more protection from the elements compared to being out in the garden. I can put warm covers, heat pads, loads of hay & insulate the floor of the run to allow them to continue to use that space.
Option 2: a smaller 4ftx2ft single level hutch in the shed (still with plenty of insulation, hay...) Compromising some space for more shelter. On milder, dryer days they could spend some time in the bigger hutch for a few hours to stretch but I'm not sure they'd enjoy being moved frequently as they are shy and take time to adjust when moved.
What do you think of these options? I'm aware neither is totally ideal but wondered if anyone could help with the decision making!
Many thanks
